La primera camiseta azulgrana de la temporada 2013-14 recuperará el diseño clásico de rayas azules y grana más anchas. Una camiseta de estilo tradicional que, a juicio de Nike, que es quien propone las tendencias para que la directiva dé el visto bueno final, servirá para seguir creciendo en todo el mundo tras haberse arriesgado en la 2012-13 a una propuesta tan avanzada como el actual degradado en torno a una franja central amplísima.
La actual ha tenido éxito, ha roto con la anterior, la que redujo por primera vez en la historia la tradicional camiseta de cuatro rayas a micro-rayas con un desdibujado final, pero Nike apuesta para la siguiente por un regreso a la camiseta de toda la vida que, a su manera también, también supondrá romper con los dos últimos uniformes, más vanguardistas. También ha trascendido que el pantalón será azul por completo en la misma línea de recuperación de la equipación barcelonista más vestida de la historia.
Las evidencias del merchandising en torno a la camiseta acaban concluyendo que, sea cual sea el diseño, por polémico o por grande que sea el primer rechazo social o mediático, no acaba influyendo tanto el dibujo, la cromática del diseño o la estética como que sea la que finalmente se ponen Xavi, Iniesta, Puyol, Piqué y sobre todo Leo Messi.
Si además se viene de una temporada de títulos y buen fútbol el uniforme azulgrana tiene garantizado volver a ser la camiseta de un club deportivo más vendida del mundo.
